Arithmetic
There is a boy called Tom
in my class;
He is this and fragile,
like sheet glass.
I don't like him at all;
he's a fool,
And his eyes are big and green,
like a stagnant pool.
He can't even correctly say
his Two-Times Table;
(Nor his three or four or five).
It's disgraceful!
He goes after all the girls;
(Even Mabel!)
And can still be seen wearing
His first year label!
I suppose he's all right, but
He's really dumb,
And he can't even do just
One easy sum!
How awful to go each day
To a school,
Where all the you hear is:
"Don't be a fool!"
